Glaz, or tonal uncertainty.

In Breton language, glaze is a term relating to a spectrum of colors mixing blue, green and gray,

used to describe the nuances of the sea's hues.

Beyond words, it is sensations that are appealed to.
The paint, applied in thin successive layers, forms the versicolor background of the work, and provides an impression of uncertainty as to the color observed.

Inspired, among other things, by the musical composition by Philip Glass entitled Glassworks, this work takes up its rhythmic character and ambiguity, oscillating between a certain anxiety and a vast feeling of peace.

Tableau-installation intitulé Glazwork, réalisé par Alexandre Lequœur en 2023. Peinture sur verre. Carré blanc sur fond bleu.
